About Us
Katie and Peter have travelled extensively and are no strangers to
the hospitality industry.
Prior to creating Rosebank Cottage they ran an exclusive trout
fishing retreat on the banks of the beautiful Wangapeka River,
neighbouring Kahurangi National Park.
Katie is Cordon Bleu trained in Paris and amongst her culinary
adventures has also managed a small boutique hotel associated with
the Relais Chateaux group in France and a small boutique resort
"Tree Tops " at a South African Game Reserve. Katie speaks
fluent French and some Italian and German.
Peter is a certified financial planner and runs his own business fromNelson. In the past he had significant involvement in the wine industry and still has major connections in this area. Pick his brains about the New Zealand wine industry.
As a keen trout fisherman he has worked as a fishing guide in Canada and represented Australia at the World Fly Fishing Championships in 1993. Peter is happy to advise you on the excellent trout fishing around the top of the South Island and can arrange assistance from professional guides upon request.
